🎤 TED TALK TUESDAY: Watermark It or Regret It 🎤 

Let’s have a little heart-to-heart about watermarking and not sharing purchased or freebie designs like they’re party favors at a toddler’s birthday.

👀 Watermark EVERYTHING — the designs you buy, the finished products you make, even your sneak peeks. Why? Because people will steal it if you don’t. Period. I once wrote an entire blog about this very thing, and you can read it right here:

And speaking of what not to do — If you're in one of those “sharing groups” where folks pass around paid or freebie designs like it’s a clearance bin at Hobby Lobby… nope. Not cute. Not okay. Not legal. That’s theft.

Designers will band together like a full-blown digital lynch mob, and rightfully so. This is how we feed our families, pay our bills, and keep doing what we love. Sharing designs — no matter how you got them — is a hard NO.

So here’s the checklist, fam:

✔️ Watermark your previews and products

✔️ Do not share purchased or free files

✔️ Respect the designers

✔️ Give grace — not everyone knows right away, but we learn and do better

Because at the end of the day, we’re all just trying to thrive in this crazy creative world. So protect your work, protect others’, and be kind out there. 🖤
