Geezy TED Talk: You Don’t Need Permission to Evolve

At some point, we were all taught to stay consistent.

Stick to the plan.
Pick a lane.
Don’t confuse people.
Don’t change too much.

But growth doesn’t ask for permission.
And evolution doesn’t happen in straight lines.

You are allowed to outgrow the version of you that felt safe.
You are allowed to change your style, your offers, your voice, your boundaries.
You are allowed to say, “This doesn’t fit me anymore,” even if it once did.

Here’s the part nobody talks about:
When you evolve, not everyone comes with you.

Some people preferred the version of you that was quieter.
More accessible.
More convenient.

That doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.
It means you’re doing something different.

Your business can grow up with you.
Your creativity can shift seasons.
Your priorities can rearrange themselves without apology.

You don’t owe anyone an explanation for becoming more aligned.
You don’t need approval to pivot.
You don’t need consensus to move forward.

Growth can look messy before it looks clear.
Uncomfortable before it feels powerful.
Lonely before it feels right.

So if you’re standing at the edge of a change and waiting for a green light, here it is:

This is your permission slip.
Evolve anyway.
